Respect in our Everyday Lives Current Event

Team Mahuwesta is exploring respect for September’s "Skill for Life." A person can have respect for many things: themselves, their classmates, their parents, their environment, their country, their school work, etc.

1. Your task is to find a news article from an online newspaper, magazine, or credible Internet news source (such as CNN or MSNBC) that shows the best example of respect you can find. Your article or video clip must have been published within the last six months.
2. Then write a 2-3 paragraph blog post explaining the article. (Spend one paragraph summarizing the article and the next one to two paragraphs describing the respect occurring. In other words, you are identifying the actions and behaviors that demonstrate respect to the subject, group, object or idea.)
3. Don't forget to hyperlink the article in your text or attach the video in your posting for your readers to reference.
